What is prostate cancer?

It is an abnormal growth of cells in the prostate, a gland found only in men.  The prostate is located inside the body, at the base of the penis.

Prostate Cancer is the most commonly diagnosed non-skin cancer in men and the second leading cause of mail cancer deaths.

African-American men are at especially high risk for prostate cancer; they are 65% more likely to develop this disease than non-Hispanic white men.
